Many of you reading this post will agree that one of the most difficult tasks for a design studio to do, ironically, is to design their own website. It’s a task riddled with large measures of self sacrifice at the time of prioritization and some amounts of procrastination too. We have to admit that the same has been true for us also.
We’ve been tinkering with the idea of designing a new website for Studio March for close to two years now, but something or the other has always kept us away from it. The past two months, however, our idea came to life. And as we worked on it, we realized that it was a project that was perhaps the closest to our heart. Day by day, thought by thought and pixel by pixel we put together the Studio March site.
The initiation of the design process was put into motion by the realization over time that Studio March had grown as a company – in its thoughts, in its ideas, in its approach and in its perception of itself. We no longer fit within the lines we had once drawn for ourselves and we’re adding layers to our construct.
Our ideas had outgrown themselves, our work had become far more dynamic and our resolve to change the world had gotten grittier. And so, in keeping with the metamorphosis of our persona, we decided to put the website face-lift plan on the drawing board too.
Designing and building the site was a chaotic yet happy mix of hours and hours of brainstorming, many more hours of solid work piled with reams of laughter, 1 am hunger pangs and passing out at our workstations. For two months straight now, we have been underlining what is most important to us, crystalizing on our ideas and as the cliché goes, eating, drinking and breathing the website.
Today, we’re announcing that our website is now ready. We almost feel like we’re proud parents sitting in the front row of our only child’s graduation. So here it is www.studiomarch.com
